The present article provides an overview of the design a three-dimensional (3D) full-core mapping system for CROCUS reactor, operated at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. is composed 149 miniature neutron detectors distributed within core double lattice three main axial levels. detector technology based on optimization well-proven coupling ZnS: 6 LiF(Ag) scintillator to state-of-the-art silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) via jacketed optical fibers. challenges in mechanical design, optimization, criticality, and development acquisition electronics are strongly interconnected their combination addressed this article. 3D foreseen be installed autumn 2021 it will pave way investigation dynamic phenomena nuclear reactor cores.
